ad:tech Tokyo Announces High-Level Keynote Speakers
Scott Howe of Microsoft, Josh James of Omniture and Nick Wrenn of CNN International to Speak at Tokyo Debut of Premiere Global Digital Marketing Conference

The debut ad:tech event in Japan–ad:tech Tokyo—will be held on September 2 and 3, 2009, at the Prince Park Tower Tokyo, organized by ad:tech expositions, the leading conference and exhibition producer for the global digital marketing community. Today, the organizers announced that Scott Howe (Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Corporation), Josh James (President and Chief Executive Officer of Omniture, Inc.), and Nick Wrenn (Vice President of Digital Services of CNN International) have joined the growing lineup of keynote speakers at ad:tech Tokyo, which also includes Josh Bernoff, co-author of the bestselling book “Groundswell: Winning in a World Transformed by Social Technologies.”
In his role as general manager of Microsoft’s Advertiser and Publisher Solutions Group, Howe applies his strategic and organizational leadership, business development and sales and marketing skills to sustain the growth of Microsoft’s Advertiser and Publisher Solutions client base. He is a veteran in the online advertising field and holder of an MBA degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business (Massachusetts, USA).
Before joining Microsoft, Howe was active on the global stage in charge of DRIVEpm, a network that makes possible ad distribution closely linked to the viewing habits of web users. Under Howe’s leadership, DRIVEpm, with its sophisticated targeting capabilities and premier partners, developed into one of the largest online advertising networks
Josh James co-founded and currently leads Omniture Inc., an industry-leading online business optimization company. Omniture provides ASP-format online analytics services and best-practice consulting services drawing on its extensive strategic consulting know-how. The company’s products and services are used by more than 2,500 companies around the world to help improve online site management, vitalize online businesses and expand profitability.
Nick Wrenn is the leading executive over all of CNN’s digital assets outside the United States and reports directly to Tony Maddox, executive vice president and managing director of CNN International. He oversees the editorial direction of the services, working with colleagues across CNN.com’s domestic operation and in Turner International to manage the growth of the business through the development of new products and services. These include CNN.com/international and the CNN international mobile brand together with numerous broadband services.
